Pickleball has taken the world by storm, and we are thrilled to bring this exciting sport to Samford Valley. Known as America's fastest growing sport, Pickleball has captured the hearts of people everywhere with its contagious and addictive nature. Now, it's time for the Aussies to pick up their paddles and join in on the fun!
Combining elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton, Pickleball is incredibly easy to learn and play. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a complete beginner, this sport provides endless entertainment for all. That's why we are excited to announce that Pickle Kit is now hosting weekly Pickleball sessions, allowing you to unleash your competitive spirit in an outdoor setting.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! We are delighted to introduce a new opportunity for Pickleball enthusiasts with our indoor sessions every Sunday at the Samford Community Centre. Led by our head coach, Zak, who has dedicated his life to tennis and coaching for 14 years, these sessions provide a chance to experience the thrill of Pickleball in a supportive and engaging environment.
Zak himself was initially hesitant to try this modified version of the sport, despite his background in tennis. However, after just one game a mere two months ago, he was completely hooked. Now, he encourages everyone, regardless of age or skill level, to join in on the fun. Whether you're an adult, a grandparent, or a child, Pickleball welcomes all. It's a sport where high school students can be challenged by 75-year-old players, and where building friendships and enjoying oneself go hand in hand with getting some exercise.
The beauty of Pickleball lies in its accessibility. It accommodates people of all abilities. Pickleball is universal, allowing everyone to participate and experience the joy of active competition.It is truly a beloved and inclusive pastime.
Brisbane is home to a vibrant Pickleball community, with players who are passionate and dedicated. Some of our local players have even ventured to the United States to compete in the world's biggest tournament, The Minto US Open Pickleball Championship. This incredible event spans one week in April, featuring 64 pickleball courts. It showcases the limitless possibilities and boundless opportunities that Pickleball offers.
To enhance our community's Pickleball experience, we are excited to announce a special coaching clinic on Sunday, March 20th. Renowned Pickleball Pro coach Mike Santomauro will be visiting us from the US, sharing his expertise and passion for the sport. This is a unique chance to learn from a true professional and elevate your Pickleball skills.
